Sometimes referred to as “the Hollywood”, a Brazilian is when all of the hair is removed, including the labia and bum areas on those with internal genitalia. We do offer Brazilians for all genders and can take as much or as little as you prefer.

This is also a Brazilian – but leaving a little triangle on the top. Any shape can be left on the top, just ask your Just Peachy practitioner.

Body sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal using a completely natural paste made from lemon, sugar and water. It looks like honey, but is even thicker. The paste is molded onto your skin against the direction of the hair growth, then quickly flicked off – removing the sugar paste, extracting your unwanted hair, and collecting dead skin cells.  This ancient hand technique that allows for the hair to be extracted in the direction of it’s growth means less breakage and discomfort for you! It’s more sanitary and reduces waste because there are no sticks or strips.

After your service, the paste and gloves are discarded and you are left with beautifully smooth skin.

It all depends on what part of your body was sugared, and how often you get the procedure done. It also depends how long your hair is at each appointment – longer is always better.

Hair below the waist grows back after approximately 3 weeks after getting sugared while hair in the underarms and on the face grows back much faster. Hair on the arms grows the slowest. The more times you get sugared, the longer the hair stays away after each visit. You will not see perfect results until after your third or fourth appointment due to your irregular hair growth cycles.

SUGARING: For your lower legs and Brazilian areas, we suggest you get sugared every 4 weeks, whereas your upper leg can go 2-3 months between appointments. Underarms and facial hair usually grows back quicker so we suggest every 2-3 weeks. We suggest getting your full arms done every 2-3 months minimum. These are basic suggestions – everyone has a personal preference as to how much body hair they want on each body part.

Every hair need to be AT LEAST 1/4″ long which is usually 2 weeks or more after your last shave. Especially for your first visit, longer is better! Any hairs shorter than tis will not be able to be removed so lease make sure that your hair is long enough before you book your appointment.

Yes! Any pigment or type of hair can be sugared. It is also 100% safe during your entire pregnancy! With Sugaring, only the dead skin and hair is removed – NONE of your live skin can be removed. And the sugar paste is applied at room temperature, so it can NEVER burn you! Made from white sugar, water, and lemon juice (citric acid), our sugar paste is perfect for every skin type. It’s 100% eco-friendly and biodegradable, and any excess sugar paste comes off gently with warm water.

Regular extraction at a 1/4″ (the Anagen Phase of hair growth) leads to permanent hair loss. When hair is extracted at that length it pulls some of the follicle wall out with it each time eventually causing it to collapse. This is why we suggest that you sugar different body parts at specific times (example: your pubic area and lower legs should both be done every 4-6 weeks).

A Brow Lami includes the shaping and tinting of your eyebrows but also uses perm solution to straighten and “fluff up” your eyebrows making them look thicker and more full. This is the perfect service for those who may have over plucked their eyebrows in the past and need hep with a fuller and more natural looking shape. A Brow Lami usually lasts about 6 weeks

If you are having ANY service done on your face, please do not arrive to the salon with makeup or lotion on your face on any kind.

LASHES: Do not use any kind of oil on your face/lashes for a minimum of 24-hours before your appointment. Please arrive to your appointment without makeup on your eye area (including eye shadow).

SPRAY TANNING: The day before your appointment you will want to shower and exfoliate. Do not apply ANY lotion or products to your skin the day of your appointment. The morning of your appointment, rinse your body with warm water only. Do not use soap, shampoo, lotion, oils, or makeup at all. If you are going to get your hair, nails, or sugaring done, do it at least 24 hours before your spray tan appointment.

SUGARING: Do not put deodorant on before your underarm Sugaring appointment. Don’t put any lotion on the areas you are getting sugared the day before your appointment and the day of your appointment, and please do not exfoliate the day before or the day of your appointment either. Also, during the summer months, please do not arrive for your appointment after you have been out in the sun for hours. Having a higher temperature will manipulate how our Sugar Paste can adhere to your hair and skin.

LASH LIFT + TINT: Do not get your lashes wet in anyway for at least 24 hours after your appointment. Wash your lashes with Lash Shampoo only twice daily and brush them as needed.

SPRAY TANNING: Stay dry for 6-12 hours (depending on the Spray Tan type you chose) and when you shower, only rinse with warm water. Avoid soap, shampoo, and exfoliation for the first 24 hours. Then lotion daily with the Gradual Tanning Lotion from Sunna tan for best results.

SUGARING: Avoid anything that could cause heat, friction, or sweating for at least 24 hours after your sugaring appointment. And do not put ANYTHING on your skin besides Soothe for 24 hours as well. This will avoid any unnecessary in-grown hairs, black heads, or adverse reactions.

After your sugaring appointment you may have a few hairs pop through in the next few days. Feel free to tweeze them out for the next 3 days following your appointment, but after that just let them be. You want your hairs to be long enough for us to remove at your next appointment and if you keep plucking, they won’t be.

Exfoliating is also very important. If you don’t have a proper exfoliating tool at home, now is a good time to get one. Give your skin a good scrub a few times a week or your new hair growth will get stuck under the layer of dead skin on top, and we will not be able to get those hairs out at your next appointment. The only days you shouldn’t exfoliate are the day before, the day of, and the day after your sugaring appointment.

Here at Just Peachy, we rarely keep you waiting. It is for this reason that we ask that you arrive promptly for your appointment. If you are running more than 5-10 minutes late, you run the risk of having your services reduced or rescheduled. We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to change your appointment in any way.

That depends on the service you are getting. If your little ones are small enough to come into the Treatment Room with you, we can set them up on a chair or they can stay in their car seat if you are getting sugared. If your kiddos are too old to go into your appointment with you, they can wait for you in our Reception area. Please bring something to occupy them and explain to them that they need to wait quietly for you and not explore the salon. That being said, we have free wifi and colouring pages to help occupy the wee ones, so feel free to bring them along!

If you are getting a service like a massage or facial where you will not be able to talk to your children, it might be best to leave them at home or with a babysitter.

Deep Tissue Massage

The experience of Aubree’s deep tissue massage was a relaxing, yet firm and therapeutic service, a nice go between a full relaxation massage and an RMT massage therapy beating!! Aubree is attentive and confident in the service she provides, able to adjust pressure as she noticed it was needed, she was able to find and follow areas of tension to help release muscle tightness/soreness and used appropriate but not excessive pressure.
